Use Case: Peer Feedback

Having peers give each other feedback is a great activity to encourage critical thinking skills within your cohort, but can also open up different tools that facilitate this, a few of which we have gone over before.

Video Assignments

Bongo’s video assignment tool can enable peer feedback within a group, or across your cohort – this doesn’t have to be of a video as Bongo supports file uploads too. Head over to our Assignments section to learn more about how you can leverage video assignments for peer feedback.

Discussions

Discussions can be used to give peer feedback either on a cohort level or group – check out more details in the discussions section of this knowledge base.

Virtual Classroom

Virtual classroom is a great space to host peer feedback sessions. You can make these group specific, or cohort wide, but some good feedback use cases are:

  • Online office hours: you can do these 1-2-1 if you want, but otherwise host office hours to go through some generic feedback to a group or class on their assessments.
  • Collaboratively go over an essay draft
  • Have learners do presentations live, and then elicit feedback from the peers using the RISE model.
  • Have team meetings on these to collaboratively create materials or go over presentations.

A large part of feedback is about encouraging dialogue around the feedback and giving learners something to work with beyond the assessment – this is often referred to as the feedback loop!
