Accessibility – Using the Accessibility Checker

This article provides Instructors with an at-a-glance description of how to perform an accessibility check/audit by using Brightspace’s Accessibility Checker.

The Brightspace text editor, found in many tools across Brightspace, features an Accessibility Checker which highlights any accessibility issues with your content. Some of these issues can include, poor heading structure, poor contrast, missing alternative text, and more. To run the checker, click the Check Accessibility (an eye with a checkmark icon) button in the bottom toolbar of the text editor.

For more information on using the Check Accessibility feature and how to make your course content accessible, visit the following article: Improve Your Course with Brightspace Accessibility Checker.
